My three are 1911s... a Colt from WWI, a Remington R1S, and a Turnbull reproduction of the Remington UMC WWI pistol. I'd kinda sorta want the COlt WW1 repro, but I have an original with the UNITED STATES PROPERTY removed ages ago and it was barely shot since. Just recently sourced the correct barrel for it. Shoots like mad crazy with a modern Colt barrel too.

The Remington is a nice pistol but it's bigger and heavier than the other two.

I don't care either way for polymer but that trigger system Glock invented and many others copied scares the crap out of me.

One of these days I'll get a Cylinder and Slide Pocket Hammerless .45.

Colt hammerless 380 or 32 is on my bucket list, I’d take a reissue though.

Just wanted to put this out there; I was participating in a thread about someone being murdered for their watch and it got shut down, I had made a comment about never leaving home unarmed, but wanted to state I’d never, ever shoot someone over a material object, lifes too precious, that’s someone’s child! The only reason I’d ever use deadly force is if I felt my life or someone near me life was at risk. A firearm is only and always a last result. Fwiw

I saw that comment and left it alone, but it was hard to do lol. You're a better man than me; I have fewer reservations about using my firearm should I be 'accosted' in a way that demands my property. The not always stated part of that proposition is your property or your life/health, so responding in kind is acceptable IMO.

Yes, you have some very valuable antique firearms there my friend.
Especially the ring pistol, quite valuable.
You'll need to have them appraised by an expert, an auction house that has auctions with such relics would be a good place to start.
I'll dig around tomorrow and give you a referral to one I had dealt with in the past.

I purchased some hobo Indian head nickels and had them installed in some walnut grips. The pistol is a Les Baer Comanche, so I thought the Indian head thing worked well with it.

Hi, @noelekal already posted the video from Ian about the Brass-Knuckle pistol, he also did one on a „Le petit protector“ ring pistol. According to him there is some controversy about whether or not those are actually antiques or modern reproductions:

Nevertheless, the Gun discussed in the video hammered for 3738 $ at Rock Island Auctions in 2017.

Cheers,

Max

So I'm going through some old stuff over the holidays. Came across my old M24 and realized I only had an old pic from years ago(this was before digital so I used a disposable film camera...some of you remember those...i hope). BUT, it was my go-to rifle in competition years ago and still the most accurate rifle I own.

Bought it from a retired Army sniper from Benning back in the 90s who had it built from "spare parts" by his unit armorer. Winner(by me) of many F-Class matches and in the running in many a 1000yd match.

Paid all of $600 back then, including the scope and a big box of reloading equipment...1000s of 308 cases, 40lbs of powder, dies, presses, including about 100 ar15 mags, etc...holy cow. His new wife disagreed with his prior life and demanded he get rid of everything. He had become born again and agreed with her. I can only say that he was a gulf war veteran and had some AMAZING stories I will not recount for our OF G-rated crowd.

I have very few actual targets to show what it could do, but I have a few...one with handloads...one with factory GM 168g.
and only a couple at 1000...so again this was before digital cameras...had to use a cheap film camera(scanned and edited with text a few years later)...wish I had more pics from that era....

That is a unheard of deal for an m24 including glass and reloading equipment, man that thing sure is a nail driver at distance. I can only imagine the stories it’s previous owner could tell

Wryfox not my long range set up but my hunting set up. Sako A7 in 25.06. With a thunder beast ultra 7 suppressor. For me I have always been into firearms hence why I’m jumping into the watch game a little late. A couple years ago I had the opportunity to pick up this transferable m11/9 smg for a good price. Talk about fun shooting in full auto.

My first long range rig was a 700 Sendero in 25-06. Learned how to reload and shoot on that. I thought 2-3" was good until I met a fellow who had been a benchrest shooter for 20yrs. Told me flat out that I sucked. So I said teach me.... Went to his house... Half the floorspace filled with workbenches and reloading equipment and machines. Showed me everything... Rifle setup, bedding, screw torque, scopes, chamber measuring, powder types, burn rates, I mean just a wealth of info. He lived in sub 0.10" world so every word was pure gold. He came with me to a 1000yd match and showed off a bit. Used a stock 700 in 308 and surplus UK L2A2...pulled the bullets and replaced with 168 Sierras, then ripped off a 5 shot 5 inch group at 1000. I was, as well as others, gobsmacked. Then he casually said he had over a 1000rds through it and never cleaned it. Quite an education.

Sadly he passed a couple years later from cancer. fυck cancer.

fυck cancer couldn’t agree more. We loose to many good people to it. It’s so tough to find individuals like that with such a knowledge base and are willing to teach. In my area there’s not to many people into long distance shooting. I am lucky to own land where I can stretch out my shots to at least 1k+ yards so I’ll take my rifles out to distance from time to time. But those groups and distance are unreal !!!

I'm excited to get my hands on the "new" colt python to see if it stacks up to its namesake
