Well... I'd ask that you consider attempting understanding, as opposed to actively finding disagreement with my comparisons.

Not to mention, by your own proposed metric of quality control.... Omega isn't there. Isn't that enough or do you not like your own proposed metric for Omega quality control?

Anyway, I'm happy to move on.

I’ve no idea what point you’re making around my “own proposed metric of quality control”.

Anyway, this is a discussion forum, we don’t have to agree, we should be able to discuss both sides of an argument.
Also, I’m not actively finding disagreement. You directly quoted me and I replied to that.

That said, agree let’s leave it there and move on as we have different views and we’ve probably exhausted our points 👍

And it's time for cat bombing if it goes much further.

You postulated that Omega's QC tolerance was/could be "...that a flaw needs to be visible from 30cm to qualify as an issue," which this is. If you agree with your own metric of what makes this a QC issue it would seem you agree.... that this is a QC issue. I'm happy to admit I'm taking your comment too seriously though, cheers, and apologies.

Look, even if it doesn't a good cat picture is never out of place.

The bigger question is, how many of you can actually see the differences without using some kind of magnifcation to look at the details?

And some of us (me) don't even own a Snoopy. 🤦

And when you see the level of detail that is there through the loupe, it still looks amazing, zipper or no zipper.

From 12 inches away I couldn't tell if mine had a zipper or buttons.

That's good to know.

Seems to be in England, I asked the OP the exact OB, waiting his answer.
Yes, Manchester, England. That’s my photo you’ve posted.

Putting this here - another (better) photo of my new Snoopy 50th, purchased 25/07/2025 from OB, Manchester, England. Serial number has prefix A. The Snoopy is the “previous” version with heavier font, zip-line, bottom of right foot outline.

Mine purchased from Houston OB a little over a year after release.
Did you get it back from repair? How long did it take?

Around 10-12 weeks. I can't remember the exact length. They didn't tell me what was wrong nor did they give me the spare parts like you would normally get under a service.

It’s difficult to notice most of these differences without some form of magnification, though I imagine you could tell the new snoopy is thinner if you had the earlier version of the watch to compare it to. The exception is the zipper, which is noticeable. The zipper is what prompted me to take a closer look initially.

What made you send it in?

The watch froze up and didn’t work anymore. First it was the chrono function and then the time stopped.

Also the winding mechanism broke where I could wind it forever.

In light of this thread, this gave me a bit of a chuckle.

Which is exactly why, whatever Omega chooses to admit publicly I will literally be shocked if they do not replace these dials as a courtesy. Omega is willing to replace SMP dials with a single hour marker out of alignment, they'll replace these.
