How did you know if I may ask? Have you received an official response from Omega?
Yes, that was a summary of email communication with Omega after already sending my watch off for service.

I took mine to an OB earlier this week and they compared it against their display piece which they saw had the missing zipper and foot lines.

They said it will take around 6 weeks for the dial to arrive and be replaced.

Question: owners of distorted dials, will you be replacing them if you had the chance or keeping them as is and live with it ?

I have still not made my mind but I'm leaning more towards replacing the dial.

It would be very expensive to replace if you decide to change it after the warranty period so I figured I would give it a shot.

Otherwise it is still nice if it doesn’t bother you.

Below is the official Omega response that I have just received which is very satisfactory and professional.

"We have carefully reviewed the situation and would like to assure you that at OMEGA, quality is our priority, and we pay close attention to every detail during and after the manufacturing process of our products.

Despite our stringent quality checks, a few customers have recently reported variations in the elements of the embossed Snoopy counter at 9 o’clock.

Due to the complexity of the process used to create the details of the Snoopy illustration, the intensity of the lines may vary and each dial is unique.

While this detail is often not visible to the naked eye, we are committed to excellence. Therefore, if any part of the illustration is missing, we will gladly replace your dial under warranty.

We would like to highlight that OMEGA has been aware of the situation recently and has immediately taken the necessary measures to prevent this issue from occurring in future pieces.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your continued trust in our brand.

In order to proceed with the dial exchange, we kindly invite you to hand over your Speedmaster Silver Snoopy to our OMEGA Boutique"

@M.Alessa thanks for posting! Thrilled to hear that Omega is offering dial replacements, and more thrilled that they claim to have taken to fix the issue in future…. Of course…. How much longer can a 50th anniversary piece be produced nearly 5 years after the anniversary? Haha

Translation...

"We think it's fine, but if you complain, we will replace it. Oh, and we'll pass on to manufacturing some information that they already know..."

This is particularly interesting, and I wonder if we’ll stop seeing bootline-less snoopy posts in the near future as a result.

Future pieces? I can't believe they are still making more after 5 years.

Why? They said everyone who wanted one would get one, and people still want one.

Yes, and they should because its about the customer who should think it is fine when spending 15K . Omega should deliver i think and does here so Kudos !
All very much in line with that Snoopy Award thing ; when something goes wrong we will do everyting possible to fix it !

Most people were not even aware of it, let alone upset about it...before this thread.

They looked at the watches in the store before they spent their 15k, and were satisfied enough to buy the watch.

Now it's a major issue. The power of the internet (specifically OF) on display...where you will be convinced that what you previously thought was fine, is now defective, and you should be angry about it if Omega doesn't see it the same way.

It's actually pretty impressive, in a twisted sort of way...

FOMO by means of artificial scarcity can do that, forgetting the loupe i mean....but the simple fact is that some watches look very different from the advertised picture used for selling this dog 😉 and it is the right thing to do, imho, to make it right.

IOW, put down the loupe and step away from the watch.

This dial issue is relatively recent late 2024 - 2025, it was going to get discovered sooner or later. If it was something that has been around since the release of the watch that would have been a different case.

Same goes when buying new Cars, in many cases the customer is not aware of certain problem unless there is a recall by the manufacturer, so what would do prefer? To be infomed and fix the defect or to be in the dark until the problem happens at one point of time
