There are a lot of pages on how Apollo 11 50th should have been selling at a premium. It completely fizzled out. And now you can get one at say 500 over msrp.
For all our sake, I hope that happens with snoopy and we all get to buy it without making an flipper rich.
Seems like most of you see this going the 45th snoopy route.
Remains to be seen.
nope, not Snoopy 45 route. I Would not compare this reference to a LE.
The Snoopy is more similar to a “Rolex steel reference”, just more special in my opinion.
It’s not limited, there is high demand, it’s hard to get, not readily available, nobody knows how many are really produced and it’s trailing with a premium.
Comparing to the A11 50, it’s not really a fair comparison. We know exactly how many pieces of A11 are out there, and this knowledge it’s not good for the reference to hold premium value. Demand for A11 is not really there, as there was a bit of hype at the beginning but not comparable to the Snoopy 3.
There is no way the new Snoopy will have zero premium on the secondary market.
Actually, there is only one way: Omega has to deliver thousands of them, and you will have to find them available at OBs and ADs.
Omega people said that basically this will never happen.
So, finding the new reference at MRSP on C24, it’s a very remote possibility.
The real Omega and Snoopy lovers are already in line, and they will get their watch at the right price from the Boutiques.
I don’t think any of the people on the official list will be upset if the reference hold its value or appreciates.
The only people upset could be the new watch enthusiasts who arrived late to the party.
And that frustration is part of the game.
Anybody who is hunting for challenging references knows that feeling.
But, hey, I’m nobody. You could be totally right.
