Hi,
I'm about to buy used 2018 (last year of production i guess) SMP300, 41mm case, ceramic bezel, no waves dial.
I want to know what beat rate should i expect (28,800, or 25,200), and what exact movement is in this watch - the newest 2500D, or something older?
Thanks!

If you are talking about the SMPc, that is to say the third generation model just before the current one, then yes it will definitely have a 2500D and should run at 25,200. The D spec 2500 has been in use since at least 2011 and was the ultimate development. Do you have concerns?

Thanks. It shown exactly 25,200 when tested, with +5s/day. The bezel is slightly loose.. like when pressing it towards the case, it slightly moves.

PS - the seller does not have the master chronometer card - only guarantee and pictograms. shouldnt there also be third card?

I'm not sure that model was Master Chronometer rated. Even if so, the missing card wouldn't worry me too much.

You going for blue or black? I have the black one, I actually prefer it to the latest 42mm model

Black one. I'm wondering if the "loose" bezel is problem.. ive seen a lot of topics with issue. Can it be fixed, or its problem with watch case (rather than bezel) and it might be impossible to fix?

Interesting. Never heard of any loose bezel issues. Actually, the contrary on my 3rd gen; the bezel is a bit tight.

The difficulty also in getting a decent bezel grip is a common complaint on these models.

My SMPc from that year came with only 2 cards, and did not have Master on the dial. The next generation has Master on the dial and third card. It is 42mm case size. So you are thinking of the next generation Seamaster.

I would guess it's a dodgy click spring. That's a $25 part and a 2 minute fix for a watchmaker.

Guys… i have bought it!!! Watch was tested in Omega Boutique, -1.2s/day
Bezel is a spring probably, and can be fixed/adjusted for free in their service.

Yup. I’ve owned earlier Seamaster divers and the latest gen: the gen you bought is, to my mind, the best Omega has produced, in terms of appearance and fit. The newer ones have better tech, of course, but I can’t say I’ve been able to tell a difference as a daily wearer. I suspect these will be fairly collectible in the future—the way 5-digit subs are/will be.
