SMP 2531.80 - Want to double check that it's real

Hello all,

I bought this off of a reputable seller on reddit and it seems real, but you can never be too sure. It's my first "nice" watch so I want to be really sure.

Looks fine to me, always nice to see a movement shot but guessing you don't have tools to open the caseback so I wouldn't worry about it.

Congrats on your first nice watch.

Great! I actually regulated the movement myself to -1 a day. I can take a movement shot!

Gorgeous last series 2531ish with SL and holograph on the caseback. I wish I had one but hard to hunt these days.

Congrats to it and wear it in health!!

May be a dumb question, but what is an SL and holograph? Is that the anti fake mark?

Isnt the dial supposed to say automatic? I thought only the quartz one didnt include automatic on the dial

Nope. The quartz watches don’t say “chronometer.”

Since the watch was opened and the movement thoroughly viewed and regulated, I am just curious as to how the OP might have had any suspicion the watch could be a fake?

I don't know much about verifying authenticity or what to look for. It's my first expensive watch and I just wanted to make sure.
