I was going to buy a watch for my 40th Rolex (shock horror) but tried a few on and just didn't bond with any of them. So that was just over 10 years ago for my 50th I decided that I would buy myself a "nice" watch and I spotted a PO when abroad last year it immediately appealed to me and in May this year I went to a top end jewelers and tried on a hoist of watches Rolex and Omega's, it wasn't about the money it was about what I liked and the Omega PO Ti 42 won me over. It's never in the box I wear it nearly every day and love it, buy a watch to wear, show it off, enjoy it but don't keep in a box in a cupboard.

I think I will almost certainly wear this most of the time when I get it, but hope I don't knock it about too much. Definitely no plans on keeping it locked in a cupboard, my original reference to locking it in a cupboard was in reference to the fact I'm getting this 5 months before my actual birthday, so technically should put it away and be patient (which I'm not). Knowing it is indeed sat in a cupboard waiting for me to pick it up is killing me!

I have both LE and standard.

- both are nice on any NATO. On mine, I'm using a lot of NATO, Omega or not. My favorite combo is a "real" Bond Nato (black, burgundy, olive) on which I put an Omega buckle. The Omega Bond (black grey) is not the real Bond strap 馃槈
- both are beautiful on the good leather Omega NATO
- the bracelet of the LE is much better than the standard one
- I LOVE the lollipop hand on the LE

But in the end, that's your choice 馃槈

Well, just got back from Berry's In Leeds and now have my watch, absolutely love it and was worth the wait. Feeling so lucky to have one, absolutely love it and definitely the right choice. It's my first new watch and nice to have a 4 year warranty. I had them size the bracelet for me but am wearing on the NATO which looks amazing and is so comfortable you don't notice the watch is there. They also gave me an Omega red baseball cap and a boxed Omega ballpoint which was a nice surprise. Just a quick wrist shot for now, thank you for your help and comments.

post: 350260, member: 7093"]Can all you folks who have have bought this watch help me out it please! I have never paid more than 拢700 for a watch but am seriously thinking about buying this watch which is a huge deal to me. I currently own a couple of vintage Omegas and have never bought anything new as I can't really justify the cost at present. Like many, I'm not really into the limited edition marketing side of this, but love the look of this watch. It really excites me and whilst subtle, the larger logo, new bezel and lollipop hand make this watch really pop. I was eagerly awaiting the 300 when it came out but was a little disappointed when I saw it in the flesh, but as I say, this really presses all the right buttons for me, especially on the NATO.

I turn 40 next April and was actually thinking about buying a vintage Speedmaster to mark the occasion, with contributions from family, but this has tempted me for something new. Not a die hard Bond Fan, but for those in the same boat who have bought one, are you happy with your purchase and is the Bond branding subtle enough for you? 2 - do you think the limited edition run will actually mean they sell out before next April? and 3, if so, if I buy this now on finance (4 years 0% credit) and a put my birthday contributions towards it next year, do I have to put it in a cupboard for the next 6 months and not wear it!!!!![/QUOTE]
Sorry for the late reply. A lot

Beautiful, congratulations! The bit about the red Omega cap makes me think of auto race winners having their tire manufacturers' caps slapped on their heads during interviews 馃榿

Love it on the NATO too!

Had a stab at some better photos. Taken on my iPhone 6 using the pro camera app which is great. Processed in same app. Very pleased with the quality. Will dig out the SLR and macro one day!

I tried both on I would speedy 57. Of course I bought the aqua terra good planet 38.5mm and that has been called a woman's watch when I googled reviews

i like the fact that it has the hour bezel (instant cheap gmt function) ... but the lollypop hand and the bracelet endpieces look like they were designed by the summer intern ::facepalm1::

I thought seriously about getting the Spectre version - I tried it on at the local Omega Boutique - but ultimately I opted for the standard version (which I love). I think the '57 Speedy looks amazing ... if you appreciate the nostalgic look, it should be a no brainer ...
