I don’t talk about sleeper watches because I want to be able to buy them cheap before everyone else finds out.

Seikos from the 60s-70s and the 7828 series from the early 80s Quartz wars are still so undervalued that they are pretty much the only brand that are affordable at reasonable prices . But don't hang around too long to pick one or several up before the rest of the watch world catches on .

Seiko Monopusher chronographs, I think @sliceoftime_ has/had a couple (I can't keep up with your collection, man...)
First Seiko chronograph, super clean design, rare, a monopusher, etc.

Haha, yes definitely agree, these are one of the sleeper watches.

For me, some Zenith, Breitling, Lemania, and many more have some sleeper models.

I’d say Roamer chronographs. Also, I can’t for the life of me figure out why vintage Eterna’s aren’t doing better. They have everything going for them.

Agree about Eterna, interesting history and they established the movement manufacturer ETA but lost their way over time with ownership changes since the '80s, now Chinese owned and no traction in the market.

On the vintage side they should have a higher profile but it could be that low supply reinforces the low profile, e.g. very few early-70s Valjoux 72 chronos ever come up for sale.

Happy to have grabbed one when I had the opportunity.... but these aren’t really sleepers as they fetch quite a lot already.

I think the sleepers would be the earlier ones, and there have been some beauties posted on OF over the last few years.

Me too. In that case I like vintage Vulcains. A lot of heritage and still a high end watch today. This baby keeps great time after servicing with its AS movement.
