Slack in BOR bracelet

Good morning.

I recently picked up a 1969 166.010 with a BOR bracelet. It's a used watch obviously.

My modern (2019) Seamaster bracelet is near straight when I hold the watch horizontal. Not so with the BOR. When I asked the seller about it, he claimed that the bracelet was designed "saggy".

Is that true? I don't have much experience with older watches. I don't want to be a jerk to the seller, but I don't want to be taken advantage of either.

thanks in advance for the advice.

The more pieces in a bracelet the more sag you will get versus a typical bracelet with fewer pieces, plus that bracelet is over 50 years old and some stretch has naturally occured. Modern bracelets are typically better constructed and have tighter tolerances than older bracelets, too. All-in-all it looks ok to me considering age and construction.

Ditto. I’d call that very little stretch. No worries at all.
