Sizing my the bracelet on my new PO

So finally got the watch, and now it comes sizing the bracelet. I have a 7.25” wrist, and as the watch fits now I can easily slide my index finger between my wrist and the watch. On my Rolex watches I only needed to remove 1 link, but I am thinking at least 2 will need to come out. I do have professional watch screwdrivers hollow ground 1.2-1.8mm. So I am guessing heat up the screwheads with a heat gun and remove the screw on each side and the pin. Just wish there were not so much guess work of how many links to remove, more opportunities to scratch a link or screw head. Thanks for any other advise. I thought of taking it to the Omega store but I can’t imagine them taking the same care as I will.

thx

For what it's worth, I didn't take any links out of my Rolex Oyster bracelet and only took one out of my PO for comparison. I think Rolex is stingy when it comes to bracelet links when it comes to full figured gents like me. I think your guess of two is probably pretty close IMHO.

Probably two links out, but it's always a trial and error exercise.

I have 8” and I took out 1 full link and 1 of the small 1/2 sizing links. - maybe 2 1/2?

I took out 3 to get it to fit. The clasp is not perfectly centered but it’s not on my Rolex watches either, but it fits great.

It's super easy. I've never had to heat anything up.
Put the watch in a holder of some sort (I have a bracelet holder that came in a tool kit.)
Take your time and remove one from each side to keep the clasp centered. Use firm pressure to keep the screwdriver from slipping. I've successfully added/removed a ton of links.

I believe you’re also supposed to put loctite - the right strength - in too.

I don’t know about Omega, but I’ve never seen any scratches or had issues using my Rolex AD.
