Ok, take this with a pound of salt, but my OB reps said yesterday that there WILL (probably) be a 55th announced in July. I of course got first in line, but I would be surprised if it happens.

I'd be surprised because they passed on the Apollo 11 55th, but since the Snoopy 50th was such a blockbuster for Omega maybe they won't be able to resist a Snoopy 55th. Just because.

It would be interesting if they decided to create a Snoopy model that is not affiliated with an anniversary (though it would, obviously, be released on the 55th if it indeed does come this year). They could make it a full-run watch, available (after a few months of frenzy) to anyone, and wait for another big anniversary to do another limited production/limited edition piece (maybe the 60th and/or 75th?).

Now, that would be great so long as it’s not a carbon-copy of the existing 50th with the “50th anniversary” text removed……that would be a huge bummer to those that waited and received the Silver Snoopy.

I just hope if it does happen that it's not gold or precious metal and cost 30k.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but Omega has never ever released a watch to celebrate 55th milestone.

So I doubt there would be a Snoopy 55th one 💪

FWIW I think Omega should just stick with fulfilling its existing wait list for the 50th and wait until the 60th anniversary to release another Snoopy. Maybe end production of the current one in a year or two? It just becomes a joke if they keep coming out with a new one every 5 years. But seeing how much hype accompanied the 45th and 50th anniversaries, I suspect Omega can't resist it.

Think you are correct, but I think peoples logic in there being a 55th is they celebrated the 45th with the white snoopy - argument being 45th is no more significant than the 55th, for what its worth I think they will do one, I hate that it's come to this but the Snoopy & the 321 are the only 'waitlist'/ high demand- low supply watches Omega has in the catalogue and the snoopy has a negligible premium and the 321 is cheaper on the secondary (side point but maybe all those price increases werent the best idea.....). Think omega will come out with something later in the year to replace the snoopy and give it a buzz

Just read an article from Hodinkee where they talked to the chairman of Omega, who would not say yes or no to the question of a 55th.
Which maybe means yes?

if there’s a 55th, I figure I have 5 years to snag it (unless they go LE again…).

In the meantime- I finally took this puppy home today!

I'd be happy with just a Speedmaster in this color. Having said that, Snoopy fever just hit me today, and I feel like I need one.

It does have that effect.

Why would you hang your hopes on what a sales associate tells you about getting a Snoopy? The goal of every associate is to sell watches, if they can con you into believing that if you buy a $6k watch from them now they will allocate a Snoopy for you later, it's a win for them and you have ZERO assurance they will ever get a Snoopy for you. I just don't see the point of buying a watch you don't really want or need at retail and then turning around and selling it at a loss in the belief a Snoopy will be produced for you later. This is a trick dealer's have played for years. You are putting your faith in the sales associate whose main goal is to sell you a watch, any watch. If you pursue this strategy you are likely to be disappointed.
The sale associate definitively does NOT decide who goes on the list and certainly NOT who is getting it when one arrives…
Please don’t be deluded!
Only the BM decides, I can tell you that for a fact.
And I agree no OBs are taking anyone on a list they know they will never fulfil regardless that it is produced past this year or not.
The waiting list is past ridiculous, I’m even surprised that many people want to spend that much money on a watch…
Buy what you like, or as others said, just pay a little more to get a proper full box set

What I know is, I got mine because of a good relationship with the Boutique, because I asked. He said they prioritize people who show genuine interest in the brand, and have good communication with the store. And the willingness and desire to drive 200 miles one way to pick it up in person. Four times now since I drove down to get the bracelet.

From what I can tell, OB managers make final decisions but they are informed by SA’s. They may choose to operate by going in order on. A list, or they might choose to go about it a different way. Given the wide variety of stories behind Snoopy allocations, and my own offers of other highly sought after pieces, there’s really no consistent approach to allocations across OBs in my city, let alone across the globe. The best advice is to go and see for yourself.

There are a myriad of factors that go into who gets a Snoopy, and it's not clear how it all works, and that's the way the Swiss industry likes it. You deal with a pretty small market and you can be a pretty big fish in relatively short order if you buy stuff from them and make an effort. What's surprising is how your OB was to easily obtain a Snoopy for you in short order, that is not often the case. Last month I was in Bermuda and dropped in to the premier jewelry/watch shop on the island. They are an authorized dealer for Omega, Panerai, JLC, Cartier, IWC, Tag Heuer, Tudor and Longines with a pretty deep stock. A very nice store well furnished with attractive name brand furnishings and fittings in a mini boutique style. I was talking to the head watch guy who does all the buying and who had just returned from Watches & Wonders, so he knew his stuff. He had lots of high end stuff in the safe and his clientele is a mix of well healed visitors and wealthy locals. We were talking about some of the limited edition pieces and Snoopy came up. He said he is always asked, mainly by his good local customers, whether he can get a Snoopy for them. He has only taken four orders with a minimal $1,000 deposit just to secure a place in line because to take any more orders just wouldn't be good for business if he couldn't produce. In five years he has had ZERO Snoopy's delivered to him, not a whiff, not a sniff, and he doesn't really expect to ever see one. Now if the Snoopy is really only a boutique watch Omega should state that but I don't think they have ever said that publicly. Many brands release 'Boutique Only' watches, but Omega never says that in their marketing.

Most OB's in major markets probably wouldn't have produced a Snoopy for you in such a short time even with your buying history and enthusiasm. Glad it's worked for you but you are more the exception than the rule when it comes to this particular watch. Relationships are important but that won't always produce a result.

Mine on the 57 bracelet. They really do look better on steel than the strap. Makes the blue bezel and silver dial pop.
