Here's my latest blue acquisition

Here are some of its Seamaster siblings

That super blue is rather lovely, did you do the parts swapage / build?

Is that a genuine AquaTerra strap, I thought they were 21mm?

Yes, I did the parts swap. The blue bezel was included when I bought the watch. I bought a bezel removal tool from Amazon (quite cheap). I'm thinking about installing PO hands on it but I'm still on the fence about it.

The strap is OEM but I had to use 20x1.5mm curved spring bars to fit it.

The straps are available in 19mm (for the 38mm AT), 20mm (for the 41mm AT) and 21mm (for the Worldtimer).

Love it! I'm thinking about getting this one as my last "one-and-done" acquisition of a black dial but debating between this and the 42mm PO.

Yeah, the 2201.50 would be a close second for me but the Speedy style bracelet and case contour of the 2230.50 are better looking to me. That said, I would love to have that Planet Ocean.

You are spot on. There's just something about the Speedy bracelet that elevates a watch. I also much prefer the scoped bezel. However I really like the look of partially applied numbers on a dial. It's a very tough call

What a great gift!

I am NOT meaning this as negative in any way, as it’s a nice photo, but it really doesn’t do this piece justice as it’s a phenomenally great looking watch!!!

I originally wanted a blue one but it just didn’t do it for me, so eventually got the black one which I really do love.

If this colour scheme had been available though, it would have been a slam dunk!

One day maybe I will be a better photographer, maybe. I really love the look of this watch in summer blue, and in the few days since I got it I've gotten several comments from strangers, all positive.

Not rubbishing your photographic skills at all, as I tried to convey in my message. Just merely pointing out, to anyone who hasn’t seen one IRL, that this piece is so darn good looking and difficult to capture in a photo. 😀
