Why oh why they are not making them any more ...
I ask myself the same question. I'd love it if Omega made a Seamaster Pro in 38mm with all the latest tech. Co-axial escapement, silicon hairspring and balance wheel. It would fit my wrist perfectly and I'd be seriously tempted.

My first nice Swiss watch. I searched for a watch that fit my 5 3/4" wrist and had a nice version of the ETA-2892. My most worn watch. It's very legible and has a comfortable bracelet and clasp.

36mm on my 6" wrist. fits nicely although at times will need to squint. 38mm would be sweet!

Long story short, My dad gifted me his midsized omega watch he bought on ebay back in 2002. Massive problem is they threw away the box and took it to a grey market watch repair shop because no omega boutiques exist over there, the ******** watch dude swapped out the movements with a scratched out serial number movement forever blacklisting my watch from Omega, so I’m stuck with this watch no matter what, I can’t get it serviced at an OB so third party service forever, i recently got my local OB to order me a replacement bezel though haha.

IF my stepmom kept the box i could had easily given Omega my watch with the documents and they could had re engraved the serial number.

Sorry to hear about what happened to the SMP that your Dad had gifted you. What that watchmaker did was so dodgy. I hope that the watch still works OK.

My midsize Planet Ocean 37.5mm. Definitely takes some getting used to after only wearing 40mm+ divers but I think it really fits my 6.25" wrist.

Nice. If I had to get a replacement for my midsize SMP, this would be on my shortlist. One of the things I like about the Planet Ocean is that the bezel is a lot easier to grip, especially with wet hands.

Wonder if interest in these watches will spike now that watch YouTuber Britt Pearce has bought both recently within the space of a few months...

I must admit, when I look at it again I quite like the sword hands of the midsize Peter Blake, as it looks a bit less stubby than the skeleton hands of the midsize Bond.

Also, I kinda agree with her and some of her followers' comments that this era (late 1990s to early 2000s) represents "peak Omega". Watches were a lot slimmer and more comfortable to wear yet still robust. Bracelets were also higher quality compared to a certain other competitor with the crown, with a solid milled clasp rather than a stamped metal clasp.

I tried on the mid-size version of the Brosnan style Seamaster at a local HK watchshop and it looked really small on my wrist

Watching these back to back was pretty funny. She makes the case that the Peter Blake design fixes all the things she doesn't like about the Bond design, which was reasonably argued - then three months later gets sucked into a Bond and it becomes her favourite watch she owns. Go Bond!

Both great watches, and agree with her take that period was peak Omega. Same is true for BMW, by the way.

I agree that it's not for everyone. Having said that, I've seen a guy with wrists bigger than mine (close to 7 inches?) wearing one of these and it didn't look out of place on him. Prince William of England also sports the quartz version of this watch.

I once had a 2002 BMW 325ci in silver. Such a great car to drive. God, I still miss it 😢

You are right, it does depend on the person who is wearing it. On me the mid-size 300M looks like I am wearing my mom's watch 😂🤣

I understand the feeling. My dad had a late 90's BMW 520i E34 model in Black with the M-Tech interior and suspension on it. I drove it once after I got my license, as usual my bigot of a dad had to ruin my day and kick me down! He sold it for parts later on as it was getting to expensive for him to maintain. I miss that car, it drove like a dream

While Omega won't service the watch, an Omega certified watchmaker should be able to. Omega certfied watchmakers do not work for Omega but are trained by the brand and have a parts account. I have one of these watches (I knew about the serial number issue when I bought it and it was priced accordingly) and my local Omega certified watchmaker inspected the watch, determined that everything in it was authentic, and did a water resistance package on it (all new gaskets and crowns). The movement was running superbly so there was no need to do a full service.
