As much as I liked the dial, I ended up selling the Globemaster. I could never get a good fit with the bracelet because there is no half links. The bracelet let is also quite heavy. I’m much happier with the Aqua Terra.
I can totally understand. I'm one of the lucky few that it fits perfect with 2 link removal.
Tbh its incentive to stay in shape. The brushed metal is the selling point for me.

Selling a watch that you like just because its bracelet does not fit... I don't know, I wear mine on a Staib mesh and it looks great, I never liked the stock bracelet anyway. Your AT looks good, even the dial has some "added value" (i.e., it is not just flat), but the bezel and the caseback with the observatory make the GM a winner for me.

I was visiting an Omega ad today, the shop was empty so all the sales reps sprinted towards me when I entered the door. I had only time to try on one watch, so it had to be a Globe master.
Beautiful watch, but it did not come home with me.

Globemasters are really nice watches. Always wondered why they aren’t more popular.

It came up a year after its official announcement, so the hype died. They are pricier than Aqua Terra, and people who tend to categorize watches into "dressy", "sport", "diver" etc. fail to appreciate this watch, which can be worn in all circumstances. It has a bit of "go anywhere, do anything" vibe. Also the original bracelet is very weird. Did I forget something?

Agree. If they were update it with that “perfect” bracelet, whatever that may be, it would probably get a lot more attention.

Not sure a new bracelet would help. Omega never offered two distinct bracelets for the same watch head generation, so the chance is not even slim. It is a pity the Globemaster line goes unnoticed, but it has to fight for appreciation with the AT line, and that is no small task. The AC version is quite nice, but too big now. If they made it in the 39mm case and offered a true GMT in the same case in parallel as an alternative, that would be quite a step in the right direction IMO.

I would love one with the spirate system in it, to keep the idea of a constellation being the best accuracy that omega can offer, i still deeply regret not buying one a few years back when they were still found regularly at half the current rrp, but alas i elected to go with a moonwatch, and i guess i don't regret that decision?

I like the modern Globemaster, but I prefer the first 1952 Globemaster. It took me quite a long time to find one in very nice condition in the USA, but it is really beautiful.
