They are quite incredible Ash. Have you seen any of the porcelain ones? Pretty mesmerising too, only with gold sub dials I think.

I’ve seen an early Zenith ‘87 Daytona in gold with the black porcelain dial and it was superb, the way it looks like the text has melted into the surface like an ice rink is something really special. The Sodalite though is the endgame Daytona for me, the depth and texture is just so amazing.

Sure. There is a new porcelain dial out, bit under the radar, bout 2000/01/02 in 16518’s. Pretty special but I agree bout the sodalite. A blue beach 16519 is incredible too a, dial made from a slice of turquoise.

Newly acquired unpolished 2009 newer clasp full set … this is my 3rd Daytona. Grew tired of the previous white dials.

That was day one back in 2015 when I picked it up from the AD at lunchtime. There were no crazy queues back then, walked in to the AD with 16750, picked up the Daytona and was back at my desk under an hour.
