Latest APH Daytona with an old friend

Other two, a Zenith 16520 A serial and one of the last 116520 chromalights.

Zenith back from Rolex London service fully brushed? IMO it looks much better.

Mines a 116520 Blackface. Won’t bore you with a picture. But what I will say is I’ve worn a Newman reference Daytona that sold for $17M. It’s a completely different watch. So light in weight !

Some very impressive pieces here, but they only seek to reinforce my very personal, subjective, and albeit, preconceived notions:

Daytonas are a bit too blingy, that Paul Newman version dial is a bit Fischer Price, and all gold Daytonas need to be killed with fire from orbit.

A steel one with batons and a ceramic bezel makes it just about acceptable.

Don't worry, never even took me coat off.

Toodle pip, chaps.

😉

I have been searching a lot for nice 16520 with inverted 6 and older in ch24 and my country (Sweden) with out any good results. B/P is not a most thing, Im searching for a correct one, not “destroyed” by polish.

Does anyone now how to get one?

On Friday the 13th (lucky day for some of us 😉) I got a call from my AD while I was on holidays in Spain: "Good morning Sir, this is your AD on the phone, I have a surprise for you. Please come to the boutique as soon as you're back in town".
Here is the surprise on my wrist 👍
