·It looks like almost every single part of the 3861 is new, I am just curious of which parts are left unchanged from 1861, has anyone made this comparison? The ones that I can see visually are:
1. Hour hand
2. Crystals (whether hesalite or sapphire)
3. Subdial hands (maybe?)
Anyone can able to confirm if these are the same ref no’s. in both the 3861 and 1861 speedys?

Sapphire crystal is different. It has a cantilevered profile, different from other Speedmaster crystals in the past. The subdial hands are also different, as noted by Archer in a quick analysis of the 3861.
