Let's get all the jumbo's together. I'll start. Two 168.001's. As soon as my new 14395 arrives, I will post that one as well.

    Hi Shabbaz.
    Thanks for the thread.
I like to show off my 14396, the one that I consider as my best buy of the year. It is a jumbo 14k gold capped constellation ref 14396, no date and powered by a 505.
The script is a mix of 1st generation and 5th (?) makes it a unique and interesting dial that you can tell right away when you see the second one.
I Googled this reference and only a few came up.
Hope to see some of these come up in this special thread.
    Cheers
    Hoi.

Nice collection of jumbos - thanks for sharing them. I don't know whether it's due to the extra size on the wrist or to the larger dials, but their overall design quality still looks sharp 60 years later.

168.001 with BOR bracelet which I think is unpolished.

I don't have any of my own to share, but I'm curious about why Omega lore has it that jumbo-size watches were produced for the Japan and Singapore market. Neither country seems overly attracted to jumbo anything. Does anyone have any insight? Did other watchmakers produce specially-sized watches for Japan and Singapore during that period, or any time for that matter?

You should add Thailand and Indonesia markets as well. But most of the examples or at least pristine ones came from Japan, the other three markets I could not image lots of examples being sold over that period.

I'm looking at the database of all known connies from Desmond 's blog and he writes the 14395 came in goldcap and SS. But did anyone ever see a SS version?

I have been recording any jumbos I see for the last few years to look for common design elements.
1 example of 14396 gold capped.
5 examples of 14395 all gold capped.
23 examples of 14777 with majority of them being SS.
Most of the jumbo examples out there are 168.001 so didn't record them.

Yes. So it's almost safe to say the 14395 did not came in SS.

The 14395 used the 504 movement of which there was only ~25,000 made. Therefore, were likely not many 14395s made. Any in gold capped would have been more valued and looked after hence I expect more survived but likely some were SS.

I own 168.001's and 14777, too. But the 14396 is my special for this thread.

I see @Dan S has posted on Instagram a group of jumbo models from IWC, JLC, and Seiko, so that answers part of question 2.
