Forgot about this one

It's a nice watch, but I wouldn't call it modern.

Actually, I believe so... But didn't know about the above.

A year and half ago, I had a nasty scratch that was bothering me, I tried to polywatch it without success! So took to a Junghans AD for a crystal change... 50€ later it was done, and now I scratched it again! I'm not changing it again immediately.

God knows what I do with this watch as I don't scratch my others watches !

This just arrived today, it is the new one with a sapphire crystal, so hopefully I won't have any issues.

Very very nice...a beautiful and clean watch. Will dress up with a suit, or be relaxed with jeans. Congratulations.

Just to make sure I got this... You asked for a sapphire crystal rather than the plexi?

I'll ask if I can get a sapphire crystal

I think you will be happy with the sapphire. I really like a big domed plexi crystal and was afraid the sapphire would not have the same clarity and charm. They did a really good job with the high double dome and AR coatings.

Thanks for the feedback, as I really like the watch and I haven't worn it much in the past months because I was not sure what to do with it.
Can I ask you how much the sapphire cost?

I'm breaking a rule or two by sharing a 37mm watch (and what could arguably be called an homage) but the short lugs (just shy of 40mm lug-to-lug) make this Dan Henry 1975 an adorable option ($260-280 for the meca-quartz) that wears small.

Edit: affordable, not adorable. Well, maybe adorable, too.

That is cool. 37mm is vintage-sized for a diver.

The watch had a sapphire crystal when I bought it. I got pretty lucky with an auction. The watch was only 3 months old, barely worn and I got it for $500usd.

Coincidentally, I’m currently 'angsting' about whether or not to get this 37mm version

How bout dem Os?

Wait! That's two surprises: another Baltimorean AND Baltimore has a home-grown watch company? Real smalltimore moment over here.

Relevant to the thread: not sure if this is modern enough for you, but I really this thing. I got it for a friend, but now might see able grabbing one for myself.

Since no one else has done it (yet), I'll mention vintage chronographs. This one's 34mm diameter.
