I'm a vintage watch guy, partly because they fit my 6.5" wrists better than most modern watches. I love a low-profile lightweight watch, but sometimes I need good water resistance (rainy day, not deep-water diving).

My one modern watch is a Vaer C3 USA quartz watch. It is OK for a low-cost, kick around piece, but leaves something to be desired. I would love to see your 36mm or smaller unisex modern watches and hear your reviews. I'm curious about a broad range of prices ($200-$2000).

I’m always happy to recommend these and I also have 'slim' wrists.

They’re 35mm, waterproof to 3 bar/30 metres and a current model with a 5 year warranty although I bought both second hand - one on eBay the other on Chrono24.

This Rotary is 36mm and water resistant to 50 metres, and about £120 on Amazon in blue or white dial.

I have been eyeballing these for a while now. I really like the black one.

Brand new 2022 glycine (36mm):

That is cool they reissued it in vintage size. Is it hard switching between a 12 and 24 hour dial?

It takes some time, but you get used to it. You can use the tail of the hour hand to read the afternoon hours in the 12h format.

New model has a sapphire and the top of the lugs are nicely brushed, those are the main external differences with the original.

Some people call this a "unisex" watch. Seamaster Professional 2551.80. 36mm case diameter. Have had it new since 2005. Very robust. Keeps good time well within specs. Very versatile watch which can be worn almost anywhere.

I was wondering when they were going to bring back the 36mm. I was offered the last 36mm reissue from about 5 years ago for $450 and I passed- still kick myself.

Tsao Baltimore Legacy 36 in purple

Purple is a favorite color and the brand is based in my home town. Couldn't say no, even given my normal collection parameters.

I have read that Jughans uses a scratch proof coating that makes it so you can't polish it.

https://www.watchuseek.com/threads/do-not-polish-the-max-bill-crystal.1108610/

Has that been an issue for you?
Actually, I believe so... But didn't know about the above.

A year and half ago, I had a nasty scratch that was bothering me, I tried to polywatch it without success! So took to a Junghans AD for a crystal change... 50€ later it was done, and now I scratched it again! I'm not changing it again immediately.

God knows what I do with this watch as I don't scratch my others watches !
