Thank you for the kind words

This is a ref 2852 circa 1958 with waffle two tone dial and stainless steel case. Desirable gold furniture.

All Original and serviced. I wear it with a recent Croc strap but original buckle.

Rare in this condition. But waffles are around to be had.

Again, one of the more striking vintage timepieces I have had the pleasure of viewing.
    Thanks for the response

Well it's more fun to stick around untell your at 200, but you might find a waffle dial, that one is almost in new condition! If you can deal with a but if wear maybe you can find a waffle dial, is that what you like about it?

Ahh, a difficult question to answer: "what do you like about it?"
Kind of in the same category as: "why do you like this particular cabernet?"
    I'll give it a try....
The waffle dial is part of it, but may simply be the icing on the cake and the cake would still be great without it.
I like the hour markings - both the fact that only 3,6,9,12 are numbers and I like the markings that are not numbers - my newbie lack of correct terminology is sticking out like a sore thumb here.
I like how old it is and yet how beautiful the condition
The way Omega and Constellation are "written" - there's got to be a better way to say that.
I know nothing ( Jon Snow ) about movements/ calibers but the fact that 2852 is called out tells me that it has some significance - helpful for a newbie.
I'm guessing ( hoping ) that if I can live without the waffle dial, I may have an easier time finding a Constellation of this era in this condition whose aesthetics appeal to me.
    Hope that makes sense.

I am curious about how well everyone's 2852 is keep time? Mine is running around 20 seconds a day slow. I have recently serviced and my watch guy (who I think is pretty good, at least I like listening to his Ukrainian accent) can't seem to get it any closer. Should I just say to my self, "hell it's older than I am, and all my joints hurt all the time... 20 seconds is fine"?

I ask my WM to do his voodoo and get the best accuracy at dead center of micro-regulator then if he must tweak it, use it. Standing order: I don’t want a pegged micro-regulator. They’re trained to achieve superb results on watches, especially chronometers. Sometimes costs an extra part or two and a bit more labor costs.

Now, some are more talented than others, as in all fields.

Or you can carry an iPhone :D

Mine's under 5 seconds. My watchmaker spent a couple of days wearing it to get the timing right.

Mine's is also under 5. Typically 1-2 seconds / day. It's quite amazing considering it's from the 50s

I'd say perfect! OK, the second hand looks like a replacement, but the rest...just wow.
    Where did you find it?

Congrats on a good find! I just found one like yours wih a broken seconds hand so I have searched a bit. The new original replacement second hands from Omega are riveted, the old ones are not. Do not let that distract you from enjoying your beautiful watch!

Recently had it serviced so it's running perfectly, not that it gets much wrist time. I wear it for dressier occasions, like tux-wearing events.

rjohnson56, that one looks great with that style band. Love the vintage look of those rolled edges.
