I found this 105003 in a local jewellers- he's had it for about a year, i had a look at it a while ago and concluded it had too many flaws- wrong bezel, chrono hand, bracelet, over polished and........dial??? - by the omega print i assumed the short indicies dial was a 70's service dial, however by the dials on Spacefruits recent purchase and other black dialled 105003 im wondering where these dials fit in ? - they have similar 70s omega text/ broken S of speedmaster>

it was not a watch i was considering as the dial also had a greyish tinge and greening of the indicies, however if original i may be able to pick it up cheap. Would probably still pass as not visually appealing to me.

interested to hear from those in the know.

only the one photo through the window from about 6 months ago, its still there though.

    thanks
    mike

Have a look at this post from Achim and a few posts up also: http://omegaforums.net/threads/is-this-a-105-002-or-105-003.15182/page-2#post-169152

Service dial in the sense that it might look quite new for the age of the watch, but there are dial variations and it is an appropriate non-pro AML dial so if for some reason you could get it cheap, why not for a rare dial? That chrono second hand first appeared in 1968 so it could also be appropriate for a late 105.003.

thanks TNT - hadn't found that thread. Agree sun burst blue is a stunner. Ill see on monday what he's willing to sell for, i think it was $3000usd about 8 months ago and could see he would drop even more. It needs a movement service and ive definitely spent my watch budget for this year plus most of next year . If anyone in Australia is interested ill get more details and pass them on.
