Well, I've worn Speedmasters for years, got a white face Speedy last year, during the process my wife started browsing the Omega website. She was really surprised to find an Aqua Terra that she really, I mean really liked. Understand, it was the color and strap combination that attracted her, while the technical aspects are very much secondary, she found the appearance very appealing. Well, finally located one at a trusted AD where I've done business for literally 40 years. It's a reference 220.32.38.20.03.001 38mm Aqua Terra on a rubber deployant strap, so after being married 55 years (next April) she's finally an Omega owner. It's quite a combination we have, a White Speedmaster and a Turquoise Aqua Terra. Sorry about the picture quality, taken with my Samsung Tablet.

Thanks for the kind response. To be honest, I've owned Seamasters but mostly Speedys, never really looked at Aqua Terras until Sarah took to this one, have to admit this reference is kinda unique and distinctive. As much as I prefer bracelets, the same face on a bracelet without the black ceramic bezel doesn't have the same impact. Did some reading on the 8800 movement and it seems to be one of the foundational movements and generally well regarded. Anyone else with this 220.32.38.20.03.001 reference and how has it been for you?

Great ending,

The cal. 8800 has been great in my three year experience. A blue teak cal. 8800 Aqua Terra would be my preference but I like the polished frame at 3 o'clock the cal. 8900 versions had. I think the 8800 only come in 38mm.
