Hello!

I'm new to the group and I've been on the hunt for a quality shark mesh bracelet for my brand new Omega Speedmaster professional, man on the effin moon. Currently the only one I have found is this:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/OMEGA-GENU...013911&hash=item2a9ea69dd0:g:yE4AAOSwT-FZA0nO

I'm not worried about branding, I'm just looking for something that will match omega quality, it can be any other watch brand. Also, do you know of any other sites to find the omega mesh bracelets at a slightly reduced cost.

Thank you.

I think many have used the Tung Choy seatbelt style mesh bracelets. I have one for my Tudor and although seatbelt style is a little unusual, I’m satisfied.

@omegaNewbie92 IMHO, the steel mesh looks very nice with the Speedie Professional. Might have a extra bracelet and extension piece for sale if you are interested you can message me.

I use the www.strapcode.com mesh bracelets with the adjustable deployant clasp on a few watches. It's nice and thick mesh that looks similar to the Omega from the front, just like the photo above.

I also have the Omega shark mesh with the seatbelt clasp on my WatchCo SM300, and another for my 1976 Speedy, but I had to use an extender for the Omega strap because it was too tight.

I have been looking recently for a nice mesh bracelet from the early 70s, do you have an idea how much it costs ? As Omeganewbie92 said there is not much for sale and it looks really desirable
Thanks

Keep in mind you'll need an extension piece if your wrist is 7.25 or greater. I use mine on my Speedmaster and 300mc. I love it!

Yeah, that's the frustrating part - I have to use the Omega extension on mine, which makes it look a little more cluttered.

I should call my OB about another extension for my second mesh. I use one mesh on my WatcCo SM300, and plan to use the other on my PO2500 once I get the extension (so, not for sale).

Wonder if those are hair puller...?

Mine is very comfortable and never pulls hair. It's just not quite as clean looking on the underside with the extension installed. I stuck mine in the safe and only keep 5-7 watches out for my rotation, but I'll get a photo later for you guys.

FOUND AN OLD PHOTO

Does anyone know if omega still sells the seatbelt style mesh?

Yes they do.

Looks like this post really stirred up some interest. It definitely did for me. I messaged my local OB and msrp is $420 if you don’t mind new.

Anyone know why they still make them when they don’t seem to come OEM on any modern models?

Omega still makes many parts that are not used on current models - that's how you are able to repair discontinued models and movements.

Thanks Archer, makes total sense, I guess I never thought of it that way.
