Well you got me there, as long as the forum has its own muscle to enforce.

Oh nice 997! As a BMW fan I have a begrudging respect for 911s, I just wish they'd put the pedals in the right place then I'd seriously consider buying one 馃槣

Thanks.
BTW with the pedal comment, in Australian RHD 911s, for some reason they offset the pedals about 4 inches to the left presumably so the clutch clears the wheel well or something, on 997s its a bit annoying and you sometimes reach for the accelerator and end up with your left foot stuck between the gas and brake pedal, but on 993s and earlier its much worse, and you actually sit semi-sideways in the car to drive it, one of the downsides of living in a RHD country I'm afraid =(

Spent some quality time with a mate's C4S not too long ago and it takes about half a day to adjust to the fact that everything's slightly out of allignment

You could always drive a Holden! ;-)

Does the BMW footwell have the same issues as a Porsche?

Or I could wear a Seiko too 馃槣 My dad has one of those tubs of crap, no thanks, I'll stick to my 330CI 5MT for now, and since BMW are unlikely to make another naturally aspirated flagship non-M I might have to keep it a long time.

I've got a couple too, they're the type of watch I wear when taking furniture to the dump, and the Holden is the perfect car to tow it there =D

You need to see "city parking" to believe it. You'll probably think I'm joking, but a lot of people parallel park by backing in until they bump into the car behind them then crank the wheel the other way and pull forward. There are even bumper covers that hang out of the trunk:
