T TTGI think this is more of a question about an availability of a user name versus an avatar..
I don't pick the user name. The member does when they join, and I have no power to change that. I just give what I feel is a suitable avatar picture and/or message according to their screen name or something they did on the forum.

路Just wanted to give a shout out to @rugbymatt for installing his own avatar:
Even though finding & installing your old assigned avatar was fun, it's good to see members putting in their own pictures.
Looks like we'll have lots of ? avatars from now on as the fun is over. People would go out of their way to complain instead of take a whole 10 seconds to actually put their own picture in, and the Sheriff has retired.
