Gents, new member, I own two Constellations. One I had serviced by Swiss Times Services however the second is a calibre that they don't deal with. It is a 1956 Constellation 2887 with a 17 jewel "505" movement. Can anyone please recommend a watch repairer who could service this beautiful old timepiece for me? Thank you, Paul.

Although you don’t say where you are, as you mention STS I assume you’re UK?
Try Simon Freese or WatchGuy.

Hi Paul.
I hope you have good luck finding a good watchmaker.

I have a little unsolicited bad news regarding your watch that you may not wish to read. Feel free to ignore me from this point on...

I'm afraid your dial has been repainted (I'm happy to be corrected by the experts here, but I'm fairly certain). If originality doesn't concern you too much, then happily enjoy it in good health. It is still an Omega, after all. Just thought it was worth mentioning. I think I would like to know in similar circumstances since it impacts the value of the watch and may influence a decision to have it serviced.

I’d recommend WatchGuy, they’ve done two of mine and they’re great.

Thanks for the opinion, interesting, if it has then whoever did it is to be commended. I want to keep the watch so that news won't affect my decision but I am grateful to you, food for thought.

look at the cross hairs and the minute markers and how they line up with the dial furniture.

Plenty about Constellation dials to read here on the forum. You need to search ....
