Yes, they are. They have been getting more times after I got em hem’d at SELA. Front verticle fades are coming along nicely! Thanks for making this thread.
When I was a kid in the 1980s we used to trawl through second hand stalls to find Big E Levi’s from the 50s and 60s - £15 - £30 a pair, always wore them rolled up to show off the red selvedge , our diamond pattern socks and Brogues of course. No pictures so it won’t count. .......sorry old dude reminiscing!
Great to hear that. Post pictures of your fades here, buddy. I had the idea of starting this thread last night, so here it is. Thanks for joining this thread.
From left to right. 3sixteen+ 771 bsp 33( tapered/hemmed by Railcar fine goods) 3sixteen st-100x 32 (wore about 4months and got fat) RGT Ovedyed stanton 33 Gosh I wish I they fit me again, especially the st-100x. Anyone want em? (How does the forum rule apply on sales?)
Wow. I've always wondered what the denim scene was like back in the 80s. Now I have an idea of what it was like. Would have been great if you had a picture of you rocking those Big E's! It's never too old for anyone to wear denim. Maybe you should get back in the game.
Love that RGT. I don't know what the rules are on sales besides watches and watch related goods. Maybe a mod can help? I have a bunch of denim lying around as well because I gained weight. But I'm determined to lose weight so that I can start wearing them again.
Nice red line! Wore mine for about 2 years, but it Wasn’t a raw denim, only selvedge. It is very very very- did I mention very?- heavy jeans.
Wow that fade on the extreme right. I use to wear jeans a fair bit when I was in a band (15 years ago). Then I started the bulk/lifting life. I would love to purchase a pair that would loook like the one on the right! great great color. Anyone knows of a brand/size/cut for me? I use to play rugby and i squat alot. I'm 1.82m, 96-98kg. Waist is about 35-36. I had my wedding suit fitted out for me, and the tailor told me my thighs are 24 inches. I don't mind a loose fit, and I don't think i can fit into slim/fit jeans. I look ridiculous in them. So a straight cut would be ideal for me! Thanks!
Alright. Check out denimio.com and okayamadenim.com. Huge selection of denim with size charts for every pair available. They offer free worldwide express shipping for orders above JPY 15,000 (about USD 134 today) for Denimio and USD 125 for OkayamaDenim. Great services from both retailers. You can contact me if you need any help or contact the store directly. Have fun, @sdre!!
