    Hi OF members!

I was searching for a thread that's selvedge denim related and couldn't find one. So I'd like to start one so that we could share our passion for selvedge denim (besides our love for watches). :D:D

I have been deep into selvedge denim for 2 years now and I have a pretty good idea what to look for and where to source for a pair. After 2 years of trying out many different brands and types of selvedge denim, I now tend to lean towards Japanese made slubby denim.

This thread is meant for denimheads (if there's any) to share their passion for selvedge denim, pictures of their denim, fades, where to buy, where to sell, what forum(s) or website(s) you normally follow, what type(s) of denim you love (light weight / medium weight / heavy weight / slubby / Japanese / American / Italian denim) and anything selvedge denim related.

Please post pictures of anything selvedge denim related here. The more pictures the better!

    Cheers,
    Dial & Bezel

My recently acquired Pure Blue Japan (PBJ) PBE-019.

Thanks, @No.15!! I think denim from Costco is totally fine. :D If you're willing to save up and invest in a pair of denim, try looking up for a pair selvedge denim. ;)

@Koen beautifully faded Levi's and lovely patina on the leather patch. I've always liked Cone mills. I have a pair from Gustin. How many years have you worn yours?

    Here's a selvedge shot!

A fellow Denim-head checking in. I have to say that the Japanese does raw and selvage denim better than anyone. I have to say, I have had a difficult time finding the right pair of jeans. I have bigger calves and trying to find the pair I like is rather difficult. I appreciate a thread like this to see what the crowd is into.

I do like some air around my legs and calves too. Go look here, Ironheart is excellent stuff from Japan, in Jeans and Jackets.

I bought this canvas jacket from them recently, it's just fantastic: https://www.ironheart.co.uk/jackets/ih-2526j.html

Hello @semper_shells! Thanks for checking in. Glad to see there are deninheads in this forum. ;)

I completely agree. The Japanese are the masters in this industry. I'm not saying others are doing a bad job but the Japanese does an excellent job.

What do you currently have and what particular cut are you looking for? Maybe I can help. :D

Sure, later. They tend to be a bit smaller, I wear Japanese XL which fits quite tight. I'm 6'1 tall, do have shoulders and recently some more impact around the hips :) So even xxl might be an option if you want to wear it a bit more loose.

Hi @Ssunnylee24. Let's gather all the denimheads and watch enthusiasts in OF! :D:D

Nicely faded and slubby Strike Gold! Are the back pockets reinforced with hidden rivets? I see hints of them on your back pocket.

I stopped trying different denim when I got the APC. Now I just buy the same ones again when they wear down too much.

@micampe - APC! It was my first selvedge denim. I think almost all denimheads have an APC in their collection. It's like the gateway drug into the denim world.

APC stretches a lot but they're very comfortable and fade quickly. Your first pair still has a lot of fade potential. You should keep wearing it. ;)

A great shot of your denim evolution.
