    Hi All,

I missed out on the ST1 so luckily, and with the help of Omega HQ landed one of the 3 last Tintin’s they had last year. I didn’t want to miss out on the next ST so purchased the Ultraman whilst away on business. Picked it up this week and whilst I like it I don’t love it. What’s the safest/best place to sell it. I might then be able to get the ST1!

Any help or pointers would be great. If there is an area on the forum I should be going then please advise.

    Thanks

Well you need 200 posts to sell here so that rules that option out unfortunately.

Watch resellers/dealers are an option but likely won't give you top price (although reputable ones are fairly safe to sell to).

eBay will likely give you the best price but requires more effort on your part and has an element of risk from scammers.

Reddit (r/watchexchange, specifically) has a lower posting requirement than this forum, but the crowd skews younger (less money available for high $$$ pieces) and you have similar risks with any other forum/ebay transaction

If only there was a section labeled for sale with an all caps thread title stating rules stickied to the top...

You would think we would have that oddly specific thing on this forum..

Or you could package up the watch with its box and papers, keep it pristine, and participate in this forum for a while, and sell it after you have the required number of posts. By then maybe the watch will have gained some value also.

You’ll only be able to sell the watch in the UK.
Other English speaking people have no idea what whilst means.

Thanks all, BTW I wasn’t trying to sell on here. That funnily enough didn’t enter my mind until one of you suggested that was what I am trying to do. More looking for advice on where best to sell the watch without having some fraudulent eBay bid. Sorry if I offended, never my intent.

If you're in the U.K. Watchfinder may offer you a half way reasonable deal seeing as these are sought after.

I've never bought it sold with them though so this is in no way a recommendation.

Hi if it does not sing to you selling it is always a good choice. There are a few options to sell it: Chrono24, Reddit, Ebay and other watch forums. You could also potentially sell it to one of the major distributors / grey sellers on the watch forums but would obviously get less for it. Good thing in your case is that UK price is lower than in most parts of the world, so likely you will be on the green side on the sale. Good luck!
