another option is getting a speedy reduced or one of the automatics. I've seen some pretty cool ones on ebay and some Japanese sites like the 3210.51 panda that are considerable cheaper than the professional. But then I have to wonder if I will eventually just sell that to get a pro lol.

Fancy classy watches that Victoria's Secret models and Hawaiian Tropic Girls dig. 馃槈
Pictures please or I will (regrettably) have to classify this post as squirrel turd馃榾

Yeah no, don't do that.
Just keep saving.

From what I understand (never did much research because I never wanted one) while they are "inexpensive" compared to the Pro, they are expensive to service.
I'm sure the more seasoned members can elaborate...

The Reduced has a DD chronograph module riveted on top of an ETA 2892 caliber. It's not a watchmaker's favorite thing to service.

OP: I would sell either the Oris or Seamaster and hold onto your Seiko. Once you have sufficient funds for the Speedy you will still have a nice 3 watch collection (diver, sports chronograph, dressier watch).

From my POV, although I own two Speedy LEs, I would not choose a Speedy Pro as an "only watch".

But if you are desperately in love with the Speedy Pro (suffering from constant craving)...well then go for it. Rational arguments usually do not hold sway against the force of emotional desire.

You seem to have a pretty nice basis for a collection. If it was me, I wouldn't liquidate it to get a fairly boring 3 register chronograph (and no, you don't automatically get a spaceflight for buying one). Enjoy what you have, save for what you aspire to. Oh, and always buy what you like, not what other people say you should like - preferably after visiting somewhere you can actually try the watch on and see what it looks like on your wrist.

Agreed - if you're gonna do it, get the real McCoy.

Wow an endorsement for a Speedy Pro... will wonders never cease.

As others have said avoid the reduced as they tend to have higher costs over a lifetime.

The MK40 and Speedy Dates in the right colors are not bad. That being said as an owner of a Pro and a Date I never wear my date.

Aka the Speedmaster Yeman. There is an all white dial variant for sale on this forum right now.

Great movement wears a lot smaller then a Pro though. It鈥檚 the bridge between the older dates and the racing鈥檚.

In that price range though I鈥檇 get an MK40...

The seller is a respected member here. Great watch and I feel slightly under valued. They are starting to be called the octopus as they have 8 hands.

Good lookin' watch, eh? That's the 323.30.40.40.04.00

The 3211.31 or 3210.51 are my favorite of those, because they used the Valjoux 7750 instead of that DD / 2892 combination:

The more I think about it, if I was you I would upgrade the 2264 to a 2254 first. Then start saving for a Speedmaster. You might as well keep the Oris and Seiko as the return will be modest and you may regret letting go of your "first"

Totally agree with this, these two watches really compliment each other and make a great pair.....

I know I know... but the 7750 while a great movement doesn鈥檛 do anything for me. I just don鈥檛 like that layout except in the mk40. But it鈥檚 a good point.

I don't understand how that watch hasn't been scooped up yet. It seems in good shape and worth the price.

It is a fair price, but the lack of correct DNN bezel is keeping forum members away. That being said it鈥檚 a fair price and a minor difference only fetishists care about.
