Also, quite recently this watch actually popped up again as available to order online on the US Omega site at MSRP. It didn't stay available very long of course, but still this is a sign perhaps that selling for significantly above MSRP might be tough
True. I think Omega USA had five watches available, they must be at the end of the distribution cycle and had a few unallocated. I'm surprised the one from Demollo is still unsold six months after listing, especially at the excellent sales price. Most US buyers paid sales tax on their purchase which put the total sales price around $10,200 to $10,500 out the door.

Anyway, I hope @Japanred has good luck with the sale.

The difference in pricing is more US to U.K. rather than the other way around.

Importing to the U.K. pretty much always incurs duty at around 25-28% which substantially increases the cost of buying watches from the US.

Just based on the asking prices of current eBay listings, this seems to be the case.
