after analysis it seems to me that on several ads from Japan the scubapro 450 was produced for 100 copies only for scubapro and not 1000 piece, and logically behind the dial numbering would be listed here is a picture of what I could observe thank you for reading me.

what a beauty I also like mine a lot but with my research and from what I could observe I have a doubt in terms of the quantity produced at least I'm wrong and it may be the case but I have the impression that there was only 100 piece for scubapro 450 only.
all ads of scubapro 450 sold in Japan sellers specify that 100 pieces only and not 1000 !!!
it's a real suspense finally we could say rather a mystery.
friendship to you friends ...

Two examples in rough condition recently sold for about $900 and $1,200, respectively.

I have seen that one on Yahoo Japan before. These are super hard to find, especially in fullset, but the asking price of £8.5k is very high, even for these.

I researched production numbers on them too.. here is a link to some emails from Scubapro I found asking the same. They state around 1000 were produced from '78-'84, although they also say there is no final number. I think 3 batches in '78 '79 and '84.

Any links to that? That seems very cheap even for beat up examples. The last one I saw trade was around $3k, and I've heard of good condition ones selling between $4-5k quite easily.

Scubapro450 dials are one of the most faked Seiko dials out there.

it's still a bit confusing all that !!!
one person says 1000 and the other says he does not know, I start to believe that my guess can still hold the road with only 100 pieces especially the figure is really indicated only on ads in Japan and not elsewhere! !!

Here and here. As I mentioned, rough condition, but they both appear genuine.

A better one went for $2k.
