For sale is a rare to find 'Scubapro 450' Seiko 6306.

The caseback is dated October 1978 which is correct for one of the batches that was delivered to the retailer, Scubapro.

These were made in very small numbers and the estimated production is thought to be around 1000. I've owned this for around 2 years and have now decided to pass it on. The watch was serviced by Duncan aka 'The Watchbloke' in June 2018 and has only been worn sparingly since. It comes on a vintage GL831 Seiko band. Overall very nice original condition. The original hands were relumed at service and are an exact match to the finish seen when new. Original bezel and crown ( crown has a tiny flat edge which is hard to see) that screws in 3/3.5 times, so no issue with the thread. Dial is original Scubapro 450. I checked this against other original watches and spoke to several SP450 owners before it was bought. The SP450 is one of the most faked Seikos out there.

I was asked about the colour of the SP450 text as there are certain tells on genuine dials. This picture shows that better. Original dials have a blueish/grey colour to the print that so far hasn't been replicated.

    Thank you.
