Seiko case back interchangeability?

I have a 1970 Seiko Lord Marvel 5740 incoming, and in my box of bits I have a spare case back from a Seiko 5 I bought a few years ago. Can anyone tell me if it will fit on the Lord Marvel?

Update: as I've found out, the Lord Marvel 5740 uses the gasket number 0C3060B0A, which also fits the SKX007. Since I know the SKX007 can fit a Seiko 5 exhibition case back, I'm fairly sure the mod will work. Alas, I'm waiting on a tool to open the watch and find out for certain.
