Thanks all. I've been tracking them a bit and getting smart on tell tale signs of redials. But alas, there are some VERY good redials out there.

Which brings me to the below. I am fairly (somewhat?) confident that the dial is original, however, do you guys think the minute and hour hands look suspiciously clean compared to the second hand? General thoughts?

The hour and minute hands don't scream aftermarket to me but maybe they are getting much better at replicating them. Could be that the second hand was replaced at some point with one from another watch. Most concerning to me is that the top of the case has pretty much had all the brushed finish polished away.

Oh good eye, didn't catch that. Man, it's getting extremely difficult to find these in good condition.

For sure replacement hands.

Agreed. But honestly I don’t have the impression that the OP is approaching this as a collectible purchase. My sense is that he is looking to get a nice wearable example. As I mentioned previously, if someone is thinking about a collectible hockey puck, I would strongly advise them to get a decent 6105 while they’re still accessible.

I'm looking for a wearable piece that's not modded, and in ~7/10 condition or higher.

Service hands wouldn't normally be considered "modded". The original hands get old and damaged, and they get replaced during a service. Or are you focused on getting something all original?

Oh yes, I meant all original. It may be picky of me, but it would really bother me even knowing that there were replacement hands.

Understood. Shouldn't be a problem with a bit of patience.

How can you tell?
Balance. The bezel is wonderfully aged. The dial has similar signs and good patina. The hands should tend to follow and typically on the suwa versions to have some small signs of corrosion, which is good to see. But here they are too perfectly shiny on the metal and spotless on the lume (zero marks or blemishes compared to the plots on the dial). So for sure replaced.

Man, thanks all for the help.

How do the hands look on this piece? Original?
