Seeking advice for repairing watch in Australia

Hello,

Long time lurker; first time signing up and posting. I’m looking for advice for getting an omega seamaster cosmic repaired in Australia.

From what I can gather, my grandfather bought it in the 60’s, he gave it to my father in the 90’s, it stopped working and my father took it to a random watch repair place. They pulled it apart and returned it to him (minus the crown), saying it will be too expensive to repair and isn’t worth it. Fast forward to today- I asked him about this watch and told him I will get it repaired.

I’m looking for somewhere in Australia I can take it to get fixed. Pretty much someone like @Archer, but in Australia. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

James

Haha yes Queensland (Gold Coast). I travel to Melbourne quite a bit too.

Also, any recommendations for leather straps?
