Searching for Speedy Pro sub-register hands for a 3594.50 mod

Hi all,

New member here and a big fan of the forum.

I have a Speedmaster 57 Re-issue/ replica (3594.50). I'm looking to switch out the broad arrow hands for the traditional Speedy pro white baton hands, and the ss bezel insert for a black one (basically an Ed White look).

I may have a source for the bezel and the hour, minute, and second hands. But still looking for three genuine sub-register white hands.

Anyone have a set they are willing to sell or know a reputable source?

Many thanks!

They are pretty common on ebay. Also you cannot buy the insert alone, you need to buy the bezel. Anything that will fit an 861 will fit.

It won’t be a very convincing Ed White in the 42mm Pro case unfortunately. It’ll look like a regular Pro with a dial swap.

Maybe this is due to my lack of knowledge, but at was under the impression one can pop the insert off?

I realize that. Aesthetically I prefer the black bezel, and the ss bezel and hands tend to get lost in the sun. Plus the applied logo and lack of “professional” give it that vintage vibe.

In theory yes. But Omega does not sell just the insert. There are fakes out there that are just the insert.

Well I sourced a genuine Omega Speedmaster insert from Watchco a while ago, probably an old stock item they had from the days when they got parts from Omega (Before Omega shut down their supply to Otto Frei and other part suppliers ::facepalm1::)

To the best of my knowledge, Omega never supplied the insert as a separate part for the Speedmaster Pro. So not sure what it was that they sold you...

Well Al was sold as genuine and don’t have any doubts of authenticity after comparing it to the moonwatch only data, could had been an insert from a damage bezel assembly:

Did it come in an Omega package, with a part number on it?

No, it did not, thats why I said could be from a damaged bezel assembly

Longshot given the age of this thread, but does anyone know if this project was ever completed? curious to see the results.

I did this. It looks great. Doesn’t look like an Ed White, but I love the details this results in; applied logo, old font, no ‘professional’ on the dial, and the simpler caseback

Looks great, I've often thought about purchasing the 3549 and having the black bezel fitted, but keep the OG hands,
