Thoughts on the authenticity of this Seamaster? Seems to be in good condition but I'm not very familiar with Seamasters.

Thanks!

The watch in those pictures looks legit based on the lollipop hand, the caseback, the bezel, and the movement. It is a Spectre limited edition so a little different touches than the regular SM300 Master. Based on that scammer review I would guess is he is showing pictures of a genuine item (possibly from someone else's listing or off the internet) and either trying to get wired cash or sending out a cheap knock off and running. Likely a hacked account but all this is moot since it is taken down now.

No it's a fake - if you look at the jewels on the movement, none of them have pivots for the various wheels in them. The fakers make up a plate with some decoration and jewels in it, and slap that on top of whatever cheap movement is in the watch to make it look real, but it's not.

the genuine article sells for about $8k+ on the secondary market, curious what their asking price was to see if how bad the scam was

Really???? wow, I see what you mean; I didn't realize they went to those lengths. How do they make those plates?

The quality of the NATO strap is a give away, too.

Same way real movement plates are made - machine a sheet of brass, make the decorations on the surface, poke some holes in it, install the jewels, plate it with Rhodium.
