Hi there. I saw this recently and the crown seems to have been replaced in the past. However, it also appears to be missing the tension ring. Is this hard to find a replacement?

I don’t like that dial, not sure it’s original.
Oh ok. Thank you for pointing it out! Just saved me from deciding on this

The dial is lumed at 12, 3, 6 and 9 positions while the hands are not. Definitely a put together franken watch.

I think there is / was lume in the hands?
I don’t like the dial though, it looks of!

Are the minute markers different lengths? Or is it the camera angle?

It’s hard to be sure from two poor pictures but I think the dial is ok.

I also think the dial is okay. It's hard to print on these textured dials and I don't see anything obviously off. The fonts look good to me and the ticks look even. Better pictures would help.

Good luck, Chris

While it can be difficult to get proper photos of textured dials for evaluation, I lean to this being a redial.

I enhanced the picture and I asses it as a redial. Close ups and enlarged pictures of fonts for better judgement.
(I never say never)

And a comparison of fonts (my watch to the right.)

That's a bold statement. Is it an automatic or not? If it isn't, the Seamaster logo, which is perfectly all right, might rightfully be up there. Otherwise I see nothing wrong with it.

The longer I look at it the more I'm convinced its a redial.

What's so bold about it? Claims like that is made all the time here. I Iean to it being redialed as well.

While it is tricky to be sure due to the lensing effect of the crystal, I think the Swiss Made text is too poor to be original. Certainly in the blow up posted by Maskelyne above it looks re-done. The Omega text doesn't look top notch either close up, though waffle dials always look a little odd.

I agree it´s all looks sloppy and not to Omega standards.

I'm still swaying h towards original but until we get a halfway decent photo we'll never know.

OP - try taking outside in natural light.

It's bold because it's unqualified. The reasoning behind it was not explained.
