So revisiting this. Looking on C24 or Ebay, 2231.80 run $2-4k. The Japanese ones look ok, all of them appear to require servicing soon if not immediately. 1120 movement is unfamiliar to me. How much is service on one of these?
It’s a cosmetically customised ETA 2892-A2 so parts availability is much better than with some other Omega offerings but some parts are still getting tough to get. In short there are non factory options for these.

Owned for over 20 years and still haven’t found anything worth replacing it with.

Hello All,

Fellow owner of a new to me 2231.50. Been after this sweet diver for a while now. My patience and long nights of hunting and studying online pics paid off. I took a chance on an online Japanese seller who’s translated description said “looked at a few times but never worn”. I was afraid something may have gotten lost in google translation but he was certainly accurate. This thing is basically NOS and now I’m afraid to wear it. lol! Anyways, just wanted to add some data points to the discussion. Mine came with the dark blue grayish infill on the titanium bezel insert. I couldn’t really tell from the sellers photos but in person it is quite evident in the right light and oh so pretty! It’s almost black in certain lighting conditions. This watch is amazing. The size, thinness, weight, dial, color, just all come together in a perfect package. I sold my Tudor BB58 blue to get this and absolutely have no regrets.

Whether you like the watch or not, too expensive. But you got an idea what to look for.
