Seamaster three watch collection

Hey guys

Here is my Seamaster three watch subcollection - a dress, diver/gmt and a chronograph.

The dress has a nice clean sunburst dial with a cal 565 and I believe the reference is 166.003. I really like how the dial is not flat in the sense that it has a bit of the piepan feeling going.

The Chronostop is a reference 145.008 with the less common GMT/pilot bezel. It is 41mm and fits very nicely. I really like the red highlights - really makes the watch.

The chronograph is the reference 145.023, also dubbed the 'Anakin Skywalker' by the late Chuck Maddox. The giant 44mm~ tungsten coated case is really something else - very blingy and makes it look brand new. Wears very well because of the hooded lugs. One of my favourites. Very colourful and bright too. Love the bright orange.

What do you think guys - I was thinking may be swapping out the Chronostop for a Watchco sm300 to fill the diver niche but I am not sure. At the moment, the subcollection is quite 'obscure'.

Anyone else that loves to make three watch subcollections? Show me some pics if you do!

Cheers
David

I like the set.

If you have your heart set on a Diver. I鈥檇 go 2500 42mm PO. These are never going to be cheaper and is a great modern interpretation of the sm300 without being vintagefied with aged lume.

That's a fun grouping, really shows the diversity of the Seamaster line.

Thanks guys! The set is quite groovy - lots of colour 馃槣

I was actually thinking about getting a PO but never tried one on. It would be great to get a diver that I could actually dive in, which was why I was thinking of a Watchco 300 - vintage charm with modern materials. I think I need to try a PO now.

Lovely collection! I don't really think you can call it a set anymore haha. It is a fully fledged collection 馃憤

I am also thinking about whether to expand the set sideways with a flightmaster - then I can say I have a set of three Omega chronos - a seamaster (the 145.023), speedmaster (my modern one, which is in my DP) and a flightmaster 馃檮

Yes! Which is one of the reasons that inspired me to make this collection/set

Love this 3-watch collection! They're all in great shape and just beautiful. ... I'm working on something similar. So far, I have a DeVille from my grandfather (the one that started it all) and a blue-dial 176.007 chrono. Next I'll be on the hunt for a diver. I've had a few over the years, including a 42mm PO and a 300 Big Triangle (alas, it was relumed), but both are long gone. Hoping for a nice 120 when the time is right. Anyway, thanks for sharing, and enjoy!

3 watch collections in general make a lot of sense to me: everyday, dress, sport/beater. You鈥檙e covered!
