    Hi all,

New to the forum and to Omega. I recently picked up a Seamaster 300 and want some opinions from the experts on what I should do with it. The watch has replacement hands, I have Omega replacements on order that should arrive early part of next week.

    Should I. . .

    1. Replace the hands only?
    2. Replace hands and have watchmaker attempt to match patinia?
    3. Replace dial, hands and bezel with Omega parts?

I’m open to any suggestions as well. . . Thank you in advance for your feedback!

Since the hands are new, I see little point in replacing them with new ones.
    So I would humbly suggest:
    1. Leave the dial untouched
    2. Look for a set of used hands, failing which..
    3. Get your watchmaker to relume the existing hands to match the dial lume.
    My 2 cents.

    PS. Here's mine:

Thanks for the quick replies. I'll place a wtb add for used hands, very good suggestion. Comments on the bezel?

Nice honest bezel if you ask me - matches the dial.
Unlike Subs, these watches were often actually used as they were intended, so some bezel damage/wear is par for the course.
There are several bezel variants as described here:

    Hope this helps.

Thanks Ben, that Seamaster is a beauty! I really like the leather strap. I'm leaning towards replacing just the hands with a set of used ones as you recommended. Quick question on the bezel, are they suppose to click when turned? I've seen answers saying yes and no. Mine doesn't, and just wondering if the bearings may be worn down or if it's working as intended. Thanks again! ~ Jason
