Seamaster repairs

Hello,

I’m new to the forum and looking for some guidance. I have a vintage Seamaster that needs some significant repairs, likely case repair, crown, dial, etc. I’m in the US and was wondering if anyone could recommend somewhere I could take it to help? Omega told me it was beyond repair but I think it’s still possible as it still runs, but just needs some care. Looking forward to hearing back. Thanks!

Hello - yes photos would be helpful to understand exactly what model you have, and what's wrong with it.

In my experience Omega is pretty quick to write off watches or even cases, that are clearly able to be brought back. A lot will depend on what the model is, what movement is inside, what parts are available, and in the end, how much you are willing to spend. Often "uneconomical" repairs are done on watches that have a lot of sentimental value...

Cheers, Al
