Hi OF,
Today I came across a ref 14363 Seamaster after reading the post of the hooded omegas 👍

Seeing this being available kind of makes me want to have it. The big queation for me is though if there has been tampering with the watch. Based on my own research I can't find anything wrong. Am I missing something here. O have asked for better quality pics of the movement and the inner casing as the current pictures are barely readable. Also caliber number is not shown. Will post better ones as soon I receive them (if ever👎).

What do you think should roughly be the price of it?

I like it. I don't follow this reference but it strikes me as an attractive watch, in very good even shape.

The case looks sharp, the dial and hands have aged evenly and the movement doesn't look abused.

The kind of watch we all like to find in the wild for a good price of around €550-600

I'd imagine a knowledgable private seller would be asking around €1200- 1500 for this one and a dealer at least €2250

Nice example! @cristos71 evaluation is more valuable than anything I could contribute, but I do follow the ref and the condition is definitely good. Note that they’re never as sharp as SS ones, so all good. Movement should be a cal 501 (or 500, possibly) and I wouldn’t worry too much about it. Looks clean and parts can still be found, even a complete donor movement wouldn’t set you back more than ~150€.
Dial has aged nicely, what’s not too like? And if you haven’t worn hooded lugs before: due to their length they do wear larger than the 34mm might make you believe. I know, this is something that is written way too often in ads that try to disguise a smaller diameter, but it’s actually true here.

Regarding price: For 550-600€ I’d buy this without a second glance. I’ve seen examples with small niggles fail to sell for ~1200€ on eBay, so given the condition, this might be realistic. 1500€ is too much in my book. That being said: there weren’t many in the first place, and even less in a beautiful cosmetic state. Might take you a while to find another one like it.

Definitely keep us posted! 😀

Oh, btw: I bought it for those who didn’t notice it in the hooded species thread bit failed to report it in this thread. 😬 Quite happy with it, bit fear it badly needs a service. Although it started to run after winding, it stopped and won’t move any more. 🙁 Oh well, I can at least enjoy the look of it. 😀
