There are a lot of special editions for the MOD. Nothing really unique about them. They all just have modified casebacks.

Still neat pieces though.

And no one in Spec Forces uses mechanical watches anymore. G Shock etc.

so do know if omega produce SBS and SAS editions every year? For me I just love small details that make a watch different so caseback, and link to the SBS are a nice touch without bieng OTT.

Normally made on request by a group in the British military. More like small batch custom orders then LE’s

I’ve seen engineering regiments, helicopter squadrons, SAS etc. SMP’s with engraved backs, SMP with enamel glass, engraved 1st gen PO. This is the first I think I’ve seen with a painted 2nd gen PO sapphire back.

Per a conversation with someone at Omega over Christmas - these were ordered in a batch of 170 all at once, and all delivered through the same boutique (they've done that a couple of times in the past for the SBS). Military specials get a very good discount rate.

As @Foo2rama says they've done this for a lot of regiments/units in the British military, as I understand it the only model that can currently be ordered in this way is the 2nd generation PO (they were still delivering this in December last year).
