This one is really tough, without a picture of the balance, its really tough to tell. The 8900 is a REALLY accurately (by appearance at least) cloned movement. This is 100% a case of 'buy the seller'. IF you don't trust the seller 100%, I would skip this.

So, the balance needs to have a single balance arm right ? The seller is a semi-known person, meeting him in person to check the watch. Were they not able to clone the balance wheel at all ? So, it needs to be like picture 2, and picture 1 is the best clone that has been made right ?

With this movement I think they DO have a single-arm version of the fake as well, so it can be tough to tell. But if it has 2 (like that 1st picture) it is 100% a fake.

That said, I've confirmed this is fake, or at least the cards don't go with it. The Master Chronometer certification card doesn't match the serial number.

See: https://www.omegawatches.com/myomega/metas/form-ref/

IF I put the reference number, the serial # (88058908) and the Access code from that card (708741), the site says there is no test results.

also-also; The watermark for those photos is some site in turkey, which is extra suspicious too.

I see… the metas test really did put a question mark in my mind. The watch looks all authentic, even saw a video, but no metas means fake for sure ?

The inability to match the Master Chronometer access code to the serial number is a big red flag. Should avoid.

Yep. That means the watch is a fake, or the cards are. And anyone selling with fake cards is completely untrustworthy to not also be selling a fake watch

My advice is: DO not buy if you have ANY doubt whatsoever. I got a good deal on both of my GMT Masters, saving a little and had an inkling of doubt.

Despite both having been serviced(one by an authorized repair shop, one by Rolex themselves), I still find myself with a bit of doubt when I put them on, it just doesn't go away.

Spend the extra to buy from somewhere trustworthy that gives you zero doubt, and you'll enjoy the watch 100x more.
