Nope the " De Ville " range will not be included... I understood only the real " tool " dive watches.
I hope the authors took a look at this excellent reference book:
Fifty Fathoms - The Dive and Watch History 1953-2013
by Stepahn Ciejka and Jeffrey KIngston, editor Dietmar Fuchs and foreword by Marc Hayek
IMHO the very best book on dive watches and the history of SCUBA and the development of undersea habitats.
Printed in 2750 copies (Blancpain 2015) 475 pages sized 33 cm by 30 cm with 45 mm thickness 📖

Really looking forward to this book. Will it be available on pre-order with signed copies for OF like MWO? Second page and no photos of a watch?

I'm looking forward. But Moonwatch or Seamaster only? As long as there's no final answer I will vote for both of them being the one and only. But as @oddboy hinted, there should be a comprehensive work about the Railmaster as well. Anything in the pipeline to make the trilogy compendium perfect?

but unless the common myth he wasn't involved in any way of development

That's exactly why I'm eager to read what will be published on the (military?) design & development history of the Seamaster...
Issued to and cooperation with naval forces? Usage by Cousteau diving team (1963 Conshelf/Precontinent II in Red Sea)? Ploprof approach with diving bell steel for the case... etc...
See my post on the Blancpain Fifty Fathoms book (an excellent book detailing the history and development of the first dive tool watch) 📖

It's very interesting to see the development of the dive watch as it was a necessary life saving tool for both SCUBA and professional divers.
IMHO by the 75th anniversary of the Seamaster we should know the complete history of the Seamaster and that's why this book is important... I'm still wondering how the Omega dive watch did in the COMEX trials... was there a COMEX dial Seamaster, etc... Exciting stuff!
What can I say about the Blancpain book ?
A must-have well-illustrated book for both dive watch & dive history buffs as it goes in depth 😀 on the details of designing and patenting the Fifty Fathoms dive watch in the 1950s, 1970s etc... History and popularization of SCUBA diving, aqualong, free diving, wreck diving, documentaries and blockbuster movies, etc... There's also a 40 pages dive terms Encyclopedia, without exaggeration too much to list.
If I have to point out a minor minus point, it would be the fact that a reader who already knows a lot on dive watches, will notice that the photos were chosen in a way to avoid showing other makes of dive watches. This is apparent in the Cousteau dive regulator chapter and the Undersea Habitats chapter... although a bit understandable as the authors did a heck of a job researching the history in such details...
In summary = get the Fifthy Fathoms The Dive & Watch History 1953-2013 book while You can ! ( currently 5 available on Amazon )

They did very well and so they developed together the ploprof. Another brand failed cuz his dive watch wasn’t waterproof nor airtight.
No there was no comex dial like u see on rolex watches. Rolex comex was a commercial marriage and not a technical.

We are very excited to answer to many requests from our friends and from the Omega collectors community: the publication of a new "ONLY" opus dedicated to the Seamaster diver watches.

Some of you (just a few...) knew that we were working on this new book, but we hadn't announced it officially. Now we are happy to make it official: we will publish a SEAMASTER ONLY.

And there is a good reason to do so. After a very interesting and positive discussion with our friends @kox and @Dash1, we have decided to collaborate and to merge our forces, with the sole objective to publish what will be (we hope) the new reference book on Seamasters. We are convinced that both of our teams will benefit from each other's experience and knowledge, and that it will leads to a fantastic book for collectors and watch enthusiasts.

SEAMASTER ONLY is scheduled to be published in mid 2020. We definitely need more time to ensure the quality and the credibility of such an important book.

It will covers divers watches only (not the entire Seamaster line!!). The main focus will be on the 300 versions but many other models will be featured: Ploprof, 1000, SHOM, Big Blue,... There will probably be some historical information, like we did for the FLIGHTMASTER ONLY. Kim and Ash will contribute to the entire section dedicated to the vintage Seamaster 300 models. No doubt they will do (and already have done) a fantastic job!

There is still a lot of work to do, and you will need some more patience, but we are convinced it will be worth waiting! And we would like to take this opportunity to thank Kim and Ash for their collaboration.

Last but not least... in the meantime, stay tuned for some other ONLY projects that could be finalized very shortly 😉

Thank you to all of you for your fantastic support.

We need then another Seamaster Only book with the other non diver models!

Would love to see a chapter on the Omega-Comex cooperation and those 1970 PloProf dive watches engraved with JANUS_II and COMEX 📖
