Thinking of buying a Seamaster for my son as a graduation gift. Last time I was at an Omega dealer was over a decade ago. Are people generally still able to get them to move 10% or so off MSRP? Or are they holding firm?

Depends on the dealer. 10% might be a reach nowadays, but maybe you can get them to cover sales tax or throw in a strap.

My understanding is that this will only work at a dealer—not at a dedicated Omega Boutique. Boutiques don’t discount. (Someone correct me if I’m wrong.)

Honestly, the better deal could be credit for a free service, which can be worth more than $500 USD. But that’d be something your son would need to remember and keep track of for ten years, when the service would be due.

If only.
