Seamaster in America

Posting these Seamaster listings here has gotten a bit repetitive, but although I do feel that I more or less know what I'm doing at this point, it nonetheless feels wrong to make an offer on an Omega watch without consulting the OF hivemind.

My last thread brought to my attention the unfortunate fact that the current tarrif regime on Swiss imports makes buying a watch from overseas more or less unfeasible. The US based seller of this listing is asking ~$1,900USD but has indicated flexibility. They are obviously trying to take advantage tarrif situation and J can hardly blame them. At that asking price though I might as well just buy one from Japan and pay the 39%+ in import duties. My gut tells me to just wait until the tariff rate settles to something more reasonable and the market settles. But if I could get the price down several hundred dollars... it looks like a nice example. Crystal is scratched and not original, but I already have a new one ready to go. What does the forum think?

That is a pretty crazy price, if you're a bit patient you'll find a good deal on the sales section here or domestically on Ebay, 1900usd for a steel Seamaster on a worn out bracelet is silly money.
